Da-fang BOT Piped Water & Reservoir, Guizhou

Western Water has been engaged in investing and rebuilding overall water system for the city that currently can only supply less than 25% of its residents with piped water. The system is currently being completely upgraded with a newly-built dam and over ten miles of transmission pipe to the city.  Western Water is also building a brand new water supply plant with state-of-the-art equipment.  The new infrastructure is expected to begin operation by 2010 after land acquisition is completed by the government. Since the water reservoir overlaps with farmers' land, the transaction requires special approval from Beijing.
