Zhen-yuan BOT WWTP,Guizhou

Zhen-yuan is now famous not only as one of two historic cultural towns named by the nation, but also as the location of Guizhou's first BOT wastewater treatment plant. Western Water signed the contract to build an overall wastewater collection system and plant to treat municipal wastewater at a max imum flow of 2.6 MGD.  Patented US technology allows the plant to be fully equipped on a river-side slope of 1 acre. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2008; it has faced difficulties of all kinds, such as land acquisition, building a pumping station in a historic residential area, and laying foundation in a steep, narrow valley.
