Xiao-he WWTP (I), Guizhou

At 21 MGD, Xiao-he was the first wastewater treatment plant in all of Guizhou province. The plant utilizes Han's SBR for the biological treatment process, and Han's engineering teams in Oakland and Shenzhen were actively involved with design, building, management, installation and start-up operations. Major equipment suppliers are US Filter, EDI and Roots Blower. The plant has won wide recognition for its success in improving the condition of the Nanming River, which runs through the middle of the city. The plant is now operated by Tianjin Capital Environmental Protection Company, a publicly traded firm in China.
